Prior to that, Horton, in partnership with the American Broadcasting Company, organized and created the world's largest travel franchise company. Since childhood, through the influence of his Clinical Psychologist mother, Robert has been a student of human personality. Beginning in 1975, in addition to his other career interests, he began working on what has become the InnerViewing method, a precise and comprehensive means of distinguishing core personality traits. In the early 1980's he founded the Carefree Institute and, with the help of the Educational Testing Service of Arizona State University, developed the InnerView a comprehensive personality assessment tool.
