Collins presented a masterful objective
defense of Judge Kavanaugh in which she
carefully presented her case explaining her decision to vote “yes”. She showed
no partisan politics, as she overcame objections to his confirmation. Moreover,
she expanded her thoughts about what needed to be done in the future, for women’s
rights, especially in sexual abuse cases.
Watch and
carefully listen to her speech online. Notice, how she constructed her
argument. We all must be able to be objective and overcome objections. Our
political affiliation is irrelevant.
How often
are you objective? At a job interview can you overcome objections? Many
candidates and employees blame employers for not getting jobs or promotions.

fail to speak up.
